Troubleshooting: "Not Enough Memory" Error When Uploading Vehicle Photos

Updated over 4 months ago

If drivers see a “Not enough memory” error while taking or uploading vehicle photos, this is caused by limited storage space on their personal devices. Since drivers access photo log links through text or email on their own phones, the memory issue is device-related rather than a Hera system issue.

Why This Happens

  • Capturing and uploading photos requires temporary storage space on the device.

  • If the phone’s storage is nearly full, it may not have enough space to process the photos before uploading them to Hera.

How Drivers Can Fix It

To free up storage space on their devices, drivers should:

  1. Delete unnecessary photos, videos, or apps they no longer need.

  2. Move files to cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive) or an external SD card.

  3. Clear cache and temporary files to release extra space.

  4. At the top, choose the time range (Last hour, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 4 weeks, or All time).

  5. Check the box next to Cached images and files.

  6. (Optional) Select Cookies and site data if you also want to remove saved login sessions.

  7. Tap Clear data to complete the process.
