Several Dropdown Lists have been converted to Custom Lists. Through Custom Lists we offer a better way to manage your custom dropdown options. More lists will be added to this section as we update Hera.
Custom Lists
First, head to your Company Settings by hovering your mouse over your name on the top right. In your Company Settings, you will see the Custom Lists option on the left side. Use the List Name column to find the list you are looking for.
The following lists are located here:
Associate Issue Type
Associate Kudo Type
Counseling Severity
Incident Type
Parking Space
Vehicle Company
Vehicle Type
Editing your Custom Lists
Use the action menu (3 dots) located on the far right of the table to edit each custom list. We will be editing the Vehicle Type list for this example.
This will open a drawer on your right-hand side where you can view and edit your list options. All custom lists look similar to the one pictured below.
The custom list name is shown in the header.
Below the header you will see these four columns:
OPTION: This shows all your list options. You can reorder your list using the three lines located next to the options names. Click and hold, then drag to your desired spot.
USED FOR: This shows you who/what this option is assigned to or where it is being used. Options that are being used cannot be edited or deleted.
ACTION: This column gives you two options. When the spinning arrows are displayed, clicking them allows you to assign the items in the USED FOR column to another existing option.
Once the items have been reassigned, a trash can icon will appear allowing you to delete and rename the option.
STATUS: This column allows you to disable or enable options by clicking on the Disabled or Enabled pill icon. Disabled options will not appear as a dropdown option in their respective lists and cannot be assigned until they are enabled again.
At the bottom of the lists, you will find the following buttons:
New Option: This button will add a new row to enter your custom option.
Sort Options Alphabetically: Click this button to sort the list in alphabetical order.
Below these buttons are different options depending on what list you edit. The Associate Issue Type list and Associate Kudo Type list have a field to add options that you want hidden when creating Issues or Kudos for associates. Several options are already hidden by default. These are all Kudo and Issue types that are created during performance data imports. The remaining lists allow you to pick a default option.
At the bottom, you will find the Cancel and Save buttons. Don't forget to save your changes when you are done.
