It is extremely important that you do not edit any of the column headers or delete any columns. Please enter the information in the columns exactly as you see in the column header.
Need to add a single Vehicle? No problem, we got you.
In the Vehicle Management page, select Vehicle List, then select the action menu, then Add Vehicle.
STEP 1: Download our import template:
You'll notice that this is a CSV file, so you can open it in Apple Numbers, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or any other spreadsheet app. We'll use Excel in this guide, but any of these apps will work.
In Vehicle Management, select Vehicle List
Which takes you here.
Then select the top action menu, then select Import Vehicles.
Then, download the template.
STEP 2: Look at the column headers
Let's expand the width of the columns so that we can see the column headers properly:
You'll notice that some column headers show examples of what can be entered in parentheses... like the first one: Status ( Active / Inactive ). In these cases, the data you add to the column should match one of the listed options.
STEP 3: Add your vehicles and save the CSV
If you already have your vehicles in a spreadsheet, you could change the column order to match our upload file, making it easy to copy and paste them into the template. Or, of course, you can type them out.
You can export your entire "Active" fleet from Amazon by heading to "Fleet" under "Administration." Then click on "My Vehicles" and at the top right you will see an arrow pointing down that will download your entire fleet as an Excel file.
You'll need to fill out these fields as a minimum:
Status
Vehicle Name
License Plate
State
VIN
Ownership
Vehicle Type: This is the van size or parcel type. You will have to choose from Standard Parcel, Standard Parcel Small, Standard Parcel Large, Standard Parcel XL, CDV, EDV, and 10,000 lbs Van(Step Van). The Excel sheet you downloaded from Amazon will let you know which vehicle type each van is. In the downloaded file the column is named "serviceTier."
Year
Make
Model
With Hera, you won't need an Excel tracker for your fleet anymore. The more information you put in Hera, the more powerful Hera will be, which helps your DSP stay compliant. You'll have fewer grounded vehicles and fewer headaches!
When you save, make sure you keep the file format as CSV. Depending on the spreadsheet app you're using, you may need to use Save As... or Export... from the File menu to save the file as a CSV file.
STEP 4: Import the completed vehicle CSV file
To import your vehicles, go to your user menu (top-right) and choose Company Settings. Then Company Details on the left. You'll find an option to Import Vehicles at the top of the page:
Click Select File and pick your CSV file made in step 3.
Check over the rows about to be imported, correct any mistakes, and then click the green Import button.
